I Bake: Doggie Treats!

Yep, treats for your furry friends today!  Dog treats are SO easy to make. Technically you could eat them too, but..there’s no sugar or salt so they aren’t very tasteful 🙂 But your dogs, they will love them.

Peanut Butter & Oat Dog Treats

Ingredients:
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.  Spray two cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, combine the oats, flour and baking powder and set aside.  In a stand mixer fitting with the paddle attachment, combine the peanut butter and milk together on low speed until well combined (about a minute).  Slowly incorporate the flour mixture into the wet ingredients just until combined.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/2″ thick.  Cut out with desired cookie cutter shapes, I used dog bone shapes.  Place cookies on greased sheets and bake for 17-20 minutes.

Aaaaaannnnd, here’s my dogs begging for these yummy treats 🙂

Too much cuteness.
